Executive Vice President / Chief Commercial Banking Officer

Charles is the Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Banking Officer of First Northern Bank. His responsibilities include planning and oversight of all aspects of lending at the bank including commercial, agribusiness, small business, real estate, and residential, as well as driving deposit growth through commercial banking, investment services, and treasury management. Charles is a member of the Bank’s Senior Management Team and serves on the Bank’s Asset/Liability, Asset Quality, Ethics, and Management Loan oversight committees.

Charles has more than 18 years of extensive experience in finance, business banking, commercial lending, operational risk management, business development, and portfolio management.

He holds a Master of Business Administration in Data Analytics from Louisiana State University, Shreveport, and is a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School, in Seattle Washington. In 2024, Charles was awarded CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) network’s Catalyst Award, which honors a male leader in the industry who has demonstrated support and encouragement to women in the profession, serving as a catalyst to support, encourage, and promote women leaders.

Currently, Charles is Board President of Risk Management Association’s Sacramento Chapter and the Board Fund Development Committee Chair for San Juan Education Foundation. He is a former Board President for Sacramento’s Hope Cooperative organization, a former Advisory Committee Member for the Capital Region Small Business Development Center, a former Emerging Leaders Initiative Instructor for US Small Business Administration, and on the Advisory Council for the Cybersecurity for Executives Professional Development Program of California State University, Chico.
